Snug Portraits is a dog photography business. This notice explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or book a session, why, and what your rights are. If you have any questions, message us on WhatsApp at +44 7408 627581.
What we collect
When you use the booking form we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, your dog’s name, breed and age, how they are with new people and dogs, the session, setting, date and time you’d like, your town or area, your email address (optional), how you heard about us (optional) and anything you write in the message box.
When you message us on WhatsApp we also see your phone number, your WhatsApp name and the messages you send.
How we use it
- To reply to you, arrange and confirm your session, and plan the location.
- To deliver your photos and any prints or products you order.
- To keep basic records of bookings and payments.
We use this information because you’ve asked us to arrange a session (taking steps before entering into a contract), and to run the business (our legitimate interests). We will never sell your information, and we won’t send you marketing unless you ask us to.
Who else handles it
- WhatsApp (Meta) — when you send your booking request or message us.
- Resend — emails us a copy of each booking form submission so nothing gets lost.
- Cloudflare — hosts this website and keeps short-term technical logs to keep it secure and working.
- Google Fonts — serves the fonts on this site, which means your browser connects to Google.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. They do so under their own safeguards for international transfers.
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Photos of you and your dog
We will only share photos from your session on our website or social media if you’re happy for us to. Just tell us if you’d rather your gallery stayed private.
How long we keep it
We keep booking enquiries and messages for as long as we need them to arrange and deliver your session, and booking and payment records for as long as the law requires for tax purposes. Enquiries that don’t lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Just message us on WhatsApp. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
