Our story

A fresh start, wrapped up warm

Snug Portraits is a new beginning. It grew from years of photographing dogs and one simple belief: the best pictures happen when dogs feel safe. No bright flashes, no rushing, no “sit still!” — just a calm space, plenty of treats, and time for your dog to be completely themselves.

Whether it’s the sofa-hog who’s been by your side through everything or the zoomie machine who never stops, we’ll capture the little moments that make them yours.

Pro sessions can be held at a fully fenced private field booked just for you. No surprise dogs, no traffic, no stress — ideal for reactive dogs, recall-in-progress dogs, or anyone who just deserves a proper zoomie.

    We plan together: indoor, outdoor or private field, timing, and how to keep your dog at ease.

    The snug session

    A relaxed shoot at your dog’s pace. Breaks, sniffs and zoomies all part of the plan.

    Within two weeks you’ll get a private gallery to choose favourites, prints and keepsakes.

Things people often ask

How do I book?

Fill in the booking form below and tap send — it opens WhatsApp with everything ready to go, so you just press send. We’ll reply to confirm a date, time and location. You can book as far ahead as you like.

Can I call you?

We’re WhatsApp-only, so no phone calls — but you can message us on WhatsApp any time, including voice notes, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

My dog is nervous or reactive. Can they still have a session?

Absolutely — they’re who Snug Portraits was made for. We go slowly, keep things quiet, and avoid flash. An Indoor session at home or a Pro session at a private field means no surprise dogs or crowds.

What’s the private field like?

A fully fenced field booked exclusively for your session, so your dog can be off-lead safely. Exact location is shared when you book.

What if the weather is bad?

Outdoor sessions can be moved to another date free of charge, and Pro sessions can switch to indoors.

Can I be in the photos too?

Yes please! Cuddles with your people are some of the most treasured images, and you’re welcome in any session.

How long until I see my photos?

Your private gallery arrives within about two weeks, often sooner. Prints and albums follow once you’ve chosen your favourites.

Do you do gift vouchers?

Yes! Vouchers are available for any session or amount — message us on WhatsApp and we’ll sort it.
